Year 6’s Harvest Assembly
A fantastic assembly from our Year 6’s this morning. They told us a story of sharing and giving, helping others by offering something small, which amounts to something much larger. We learned that we can all share the positive effects by offering and sharing with one another.
We hear of a traveller who asks for something small to eat from his neighbours, to be met with no’s. So, he creates a magic soup with the main ingredient a rock, people are fooled into giving ingredients but then they all share the delicious meal because they have shared together eventually.
We then finished with a hymn that sings of God’s creations and that there’s enough for everyone if we are willing to share.
This assembly was inspired by Harvest and our Harvest Collection – thanks to those who have already brought in donations, we will be collecting for Redbridge Night Shelter each morning until Friday!
