World Book Day presents…

Disney Dressing Up Day

In Aid of The Dream Factory

Today we’re celebrating World Book Day and linking our love of books in with our love of charity work! ‘World Book Day presents Disney Dressing Up Day’, in aid of our selected charity The Dream Factory, a charity set-up to brighten the lives and encourage hope for children and young adults who have either life limiting or life threatening conditions, or who suffer from severe disabilities. They do this by making the children’s Wishes come true! Some of the most requested dreams are a trip to Disneyland to visit their most loved characters; this is how the Disney theme was inspired!

We are continuing the fun of World Book Day throughout this term and linking in with Readathon. Class work will involve writing around World Book Day and some activities include book reviews; trying out a more difficult book; story writing and the older years will be reading to younger classes!

“Mrs Williams and I will also be running a book club and school Book Store for our love of books, children will have a chance to look through a range of books and purchase something new to take home!” – Miss Rimmer, Year 2 Teacher.
