November’s Theme

Our previous month’s theme was ‘Respect’, November’s Theme is now focusing on ‘Friendship’. A great follow on from respect, we are now learning how friendship is vital and the ways in which it helps us every day, to have friendships but also to respect our friends.

Mr Curl’s assembly this morning showed a clip from ‘Oliver’ as next week is Dickens Week. The clip showed the infamous quote ‘Please sir, can I have some more’, which Mr Curl explained that Dickens wrote about the massive contrast in the rich and poor and how children weren’t respected in the 19th Century. He did this in order to draw people’s attention to the issue.
