Monday Motivation
In this morning’s assembly, we hear of a Snaresbrook Prep student making it to a famous football club, an inspirational video and finished off with our singing practice to get us into a positive frame of mind for the week!
Jordan Spence
Mrs Foster, our Football Correspondent told us of “our ex pupil Jordan Spence playing in the 4th round FA Cup match between Milton Keynes Dons & Chelsea yesterday. Jordan came to Snaresbrook until he was 7 but then left to attend Forest”. We were all very proud to see Jordan doing so well – what an inspirational way to start our week. Some much needed Monday Motivation!
SPS Values
Theme: Excellence
Mrs Alderson, our ICT Co-Ordinator, put together a fantastic clip for us to watch in this morning’s assembly. The children read through the quotes and felt inspired to achieve their best this week. Mr Curl asked “What will you do this week, that is excellent?”.
Singing Practice
Mrs Phillips took us to a state of calm with her introductory song ‘Tumba’. We then moved onto singing our Hymn of the day ‘Give Me Oil in My Lamp’
A fantastic song to remind us what God can give us if we remember to pray and ask for his help. We then sang a blend of ‘The Whole World in His Hands’ and ‘Chariots A’ Comin” – Mrs Phillips was very impressed and asked everyone to give themselves a round of applause! Mrs Phillips then introduced us to a new warm up song, from the Wolof Tribe in Senegal, Gambia. A one word welcome song called ‘Jamawaile’. Well Done everyone, now let’s get started on an EXCELLENT week!
